.. --> --> After a well deserved summer rest (it was quite a spring!), we are back and doing more than ever. Now is a great time to consider joining the team at SFIM, either by volunteering, making a charitable contribution, or telling your friends about the work we do. In any case, it's definitely a good time to mark your calendars! It's going to be an amazing season at the SFIM, featuring:
INDEPENDENT FILMS from all over the world, about veterans of the war in Iraq, media pranksters, manic depression, homosexuality in Islam, the fate of independent record stores, and "random and miscellaneous tidbits and surprises"...
RENOWNED MUSICIANS playing rich and varied traditions of jazz, folk, and world musics...
MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATIONS by contemporary thinkers and artists on topics such as sustainable living, radical comics, drug "farms" in Kentucky, soldiers who refuse to fight, the crisis of neoliberalism, and whatever else seems important...
And an incredible exhibition of ARTWORK by Iraqi children in the Underground Gallery.
