For those set on hiking, camping, and enjoying the beauty and challenges of nature. This package is offered only with groups of 5 or more. Make your reservation, and if we don't meet our capacity of 5 people, we'll credit your payment to accommodations, meals and excursions at their regular prices.
PRICING: $549* USD - Pricing includes meals, accommodations, excursions w/ transportation, guides, permits and equipment. Write or ChatLive for pricing information.
Day 1
Arrive at Rancho Wendy and get settled in your rooms. You'll have time to explore the property, play pool, have a guide show and explain our small mountain town of Los Quemados, set up the volleyball net or just relax. You'll enjoy a home cooked Dominican style supper before we build a bon fire and maybe head to the local discothèque for some meringue and bachata.
Day 2
Wake up for breakfast and pack up for a short ride to our "Killer Trail." You'll hike up and down and around the mountain range catching beautiful views of the valley and passing rural mountain homes. Spend the night camping by the mountain town of La Ceba.
boldDay 3bold
In the morning, wake up to a quick breakfast and then keep hiking into the mountains to discover rarely seen Taino cave drawings high in the mountain. Your hike upwards, through the forest and off the trail will lead you to the drawings that overlook the surrounding valleys. Rest up and have lunch with gorgeous views. Descend down to the 300ft waterfall and we'll bring you back to the Ranch to get refreshed. But don't get settled because you'll take a short hike to camp next to the gorgeous sounds of the waterfall Charco Bonito.
Day 4 - 6
Take a refreshing morning bath in the waterfalls lagoon and hike back to the ranch for breakfast. Afterwards, we'll load up the van and transport you to the base of the mountain Pico Duarte - the highest point in the Caribbean. The first day is a gradual hike upwards; but don't let that foul you because the second day of hiking will prove to be a challenge. If you're body and mind are ready for the early morning hike to the peak on the third day, you'll be rewarded with a spectacular view of the entire mountain range. The trek back down the hill will take less time and we'll meet you at the base to transport you back to the Ranch. Buy a drink and relax in the pool to relax your tired muscles. Have supper and spend the night at the Ranch.
Day 7
After having breakfast together, we'll take you to the bus stations in Bonao for your other plans in the Dominican Republic!
