To all of my wonderful friends who have always supported me, thank you. My dad passed away today NOVEMBER 19, 2006 after a long battle with a horrible loss of circulation through out his body. My dad was a diabetic. He suffered a great deal and I thank the Lord that he no longer has to deal with the horrible pain. My father was born JESUS MANUEL CRUZ JR. in Catano, Puerto Rico on NOVEMBER 15, 1958. He was very young and I advise anyone who may have Diabetes, to really take very good care of yourselves. One of my dad's greatest joys in his life was the time that he spent in the US NAVY. He loved traveling the world and one of his favorite places was a visit to Spain. My dad was in the US NAVY from 1977 to 1981, he took part in rescuing of the hostages that were in Iran in 1980. My dad's big dream was to one day become an Avaition Mechanic, he never got a chance to, but was always a man who like to use his hands. He worked for the city for over 14 years and had a dream to one day have his own air conditioning business. Shortly after he became very sick and not long after he entered the hospital and it was there (Veterans Hospital in The Bronx) that he resided his last days. Dad I will always love you, I know that you always dreamt of a better life for your children than you had when you were a child. Even if sometimes you didn't know how to express it. I will do my best to further our cause for a much better life, I know that that was your mother's intentions when she came with you, your brother and your three sisters back in 1966 to the harsh streets of the South Bronx in New York City. I love you pop, I'll see you later.
