Dear handful of readers including my mother-in-law -

My life fits into about 35 boxes. That includes my wife's clothes, shoes and books. I've learned that this week -- moving week. I'm happy to report our neighbor Vicky inherited our wooden rocking chair. Our friends Jenna and Sam drove off with our bed frame. Yesterday our grill sprung a gas leak, nearly setting the neighborhood on fire. Luckily, I put the fire out soon enough, but not too soon so that my hamburger could finish cooking. (So long, old grill, you've been good to me. But it will be nice not having to pack you in the U Haul trailor.)

Last week I was selected as the emerging artist for the Four Corners Folk Festival in Pagosa Springs. This means a lot to me. It's nice to have people every once in a while say, "Hey, we think what you're doing in life is great." Everyone needs doses of that, because a person can only go so long before their belief in themselves begins fading. Anyway, If you're interested in summer folk festivals in the Colorado area, click the link above and consider this one. They have a cool line up. FYI: I'll be playing Friday, August 29th at 2pm. Maybe 3pm. One or the other. Thanks for reading,

Aaron

Hey Aaron -
I just talked to Steve Cochenhour yesterday and he informed me that you have put out a new album. I downloaded it tonight. I was blown away! You are amazing! The first one is a family favorite, this one might just rival the first. I don't know if you remember me but i was the pastor of Satellite at 4C's for a while before moving to Northern California near Sacramento. I am on the move again and will be relocating to nothing more than a..."Small Town" in Kansas. The town has around 600 people in it and i will be the pastor of a church that has around 300 in it with 100 of them being college students from the local Christian Quaker College in town. I am so excited. I was curious that if you were ever near Haviland, Kansas we would love to have you put on a house concert or a concert at the College (Barclay). I think it would be a cool environment and setting for this album if you are at all interested.

thanks for doing what God created you to do.

Donnie Hinshaw
