its taking me a full week to recover from our marathon recording session last weekend. yes the rumors are true we did indeed record 17 songs in under 10 hours at the Soundry right here in peachy greenpoint brooklyn. Listening back I can’t believe how great it sounds! We basically set up the same way we do for a live set and let the tape roll. Everybody was really on point. I cracked the first beer at 2pm and general j.daniels didn’t make his useful appearance till about 4pm. But that type of inspiration really wasn’t needed. we were just trying to have some fun and keep the session light. And all 17 songs kick ass!!! They sound real tight. The band has been very hot since we got back from our last CT/RI trip. I’m still hungover. details are foggy but the shows were a complete success and everyone we played for were awesome. ...in CT the hospitality shown by our friend Lauren was beyond the call of duty, a shout out to her mom for the wonderful pancakes and in Rhode Island the after party was trully unforgettable especially the guy who threatened everyone with an ax! thanks for not killing us our destroying our rented van. see you in july.
anyway..back to the recording session. I just want to thank Max and Mike at the studio for setting it up and our wonderful engineer Rob for taking the time to get the sound perfect..we’re really happy with it. We’ll start overdubs this week at our respective studios.
