Like the Beatles said, there are clowns to the left and jokers to the right in this cesspool of a biz called muzik. For the true musicians, the folks they wanna get stuck in the middle with are loyal fans. These are the type of fans who will stick with them and support every step of the way. To build this loyal fan-base a band has to release sick recordings coupled with playing their hearts out night in night out for fans, knowing that the fan is the more important in this equation. One band that work their asses of and know the importance of their fans is NYHC krew Sick Of It All. "Angry Mike" Briley aka "THE HARDCORE CHEF" is the balance to the musician/fan equation. Angry Mike will tell ya that is the reason he is a fan of SOIA. Sick Of It All puts on a bad-ass live show for their fans everytime. Collectively the fans are like the fifth member of the band man. Now check this... Angry Mike has seen SOIA three times this year since April, 2006. He has seen SOIA in Los Angeles, San Diego and flown from San Diego where he lives, to New York City in the same day, to see SIOA Sept. 17, 2006, at BB Kings, in Time Square. He spent about $200. on merch plus paying $7. per for a few watered down glasses of almost near beer. Rock star stuff huh!

Angry Mike is currently recovering from hip replacement surgey for an old hip injury from a car wreck a few years back. Bub's Dive Bar management and staff at Bub's held a fundraiser party for Angry Mike Nov. 29, 2006, to help give a crutch post financially. Big up to Bub's for that kind effort!! Get well guickly dude.br>
Angry Mike is developing a cooking show called the Hardcore Chef. Can't reveal details but it is a great concept for a cooking show.
