hey,
here are some things for your brains to absorb-
we are now offering the stem tracks for the Drugs to the Dear Youth EP for download. it seemed like a fun idea. do whatever you want with them. remix them, re-record parts, point out all the mistakes, download the tracks and burn them to a cd-r and then break it in half. whatever is cool. curious to see what people come up with. i believe they are 50 cents each (each track has a stereo partner), or you can get the whole thing for $5. also, the remixed/remastered version of the EP is also available.
you can find the stem tracks, along with all of our records, at our new digital store. the site is called bandcamp. it's essentially your own personal itunes. there are lots of different options in terms of quality at which you can download the tracks. mp3s obviously, flac/lossless, whatever that means, and many other file types. also, if you find yourself in a predicament of having too much money, you can pay more than the suggested price. sort of a pay what you want kind of thing.
our site is located at

speaking of new big things on the web- do we need a twitter? would anyone read it? that site makes me sick to my stomach to look at. are the rumors true- no one uses myspace anymore? it seems like only bands that scream have twitters. i don't know. what do you think?
we also have a new online merch store that has shirts with burgers kissing, the hamburglar playing a moog and guys without heads as well as the Drugs to the Dear Youth 10" and the Idioms Vol. I 7".
you can find the store here

by the way, the east coast shows were lots and lots of fun. thanks to everyone that came. it was very weird being the "headlining" band, as they say. nate and i are very used to being on the other side of things- opening for other bands, promoters treating us like turds, having to play at 7:30 when everyone is outside getting drunk in their cars, clearing rooms because everyone is bumming out (that happened at least once on this tour, which was awesome), etc. so it was very exciting for us to uncover a new piece of this puzzle that is tera melos.
we don't realistically foresee an album being completed by the end of the year, though anything can happen. we'd just really like to take our time and end up with an album that at no point makes us cringe. maybe we'll do another Idioms in the meantime.
i think that's about all. no secret tours coming up to tell you about. surely something cool will come our way. you'll be the first to know. oh, and more copies of SNAKEVILLE to be printed shortly.
PAAAAAAAA-SUH.
