Great article in HuffPo.  I'm living in Srinagar, surrounded by the beauty of the landscape and moreso the beauty, inside and out, of the people.  Having only been here since April of this year, I have not witnessed the horrors endured by those like my husband and his family, and your family, and the neighbors who I now call my friends. 

My American friends and family all thought I was insane, taking myself and my 2 young sons halfway around the world to live in the most heavily militarized zone on earth, a disputed region with a history and current struggle that only now is starting to capture the attention of the world body - what took 'em so long????  But we don't for a minute regret it.  I'm beyond words grateful and humbled to be a part of this magical place, and pray every day it will again know the freedom and peace its people deserve.
