Hey guys! I just wanted to post a special blog to say thank you to all of you that have helped Vapor Legacy in the past. Whether you passed out a flier, brought a friend, hung a poster, ran sound, helped at the stage, ran skateboard competitions, referred bands, cooked, help clean up, housed bands, volunteered, or anything...
you all are awesome. I can't remember everybody that has helped because SO many people have been supporting this its amazing. I want you to know your work is very appreciated and that there wouldn't be any "Vapor Legacy" concerts without you. So thank you and God bless.
One thing that I think is pretty awesome is how many of you who are agnostic, atheist, anarchist and even satanists have been helping me with this. Its a pretty well known fact that I'm a Christian and that influences all of the shows I put on and even though we disagree on many points when it comes to God we're still friends and support each other. You've all been a huge blessing in my life.
Another thing I think is awesome is the Christians that have supported me in this. Its not as common as you might think, the type of music and audiences I typically promote or promote the show to aren't often what the "church" wants to accept. Those of you Christians and even a handful of church groups that have my back on this are breaking down walls many hypocrites have built before us and are actually showing Christ a lot more than you might think. Thank you!
oh, and coffee. I would like to thank coffee. Coffee is amazing.
Well hey, if any of you have questions about what we do just send me a message. Especially if you're not quite sure about the whole Christianity side of this, I want you to know I'm just trying to share whats got me through life. I hold it to be truth but I'm not trying to change you (I'll always be your friend no matter what) but its there if you want it or if you have questions. If not, thats cool too.
Thanks again! -Travis
Special Thanks for July 21st
Oh yeah, the last show we did (yesterday. July 21st 2007) was one of the smoothest we've ever run. That was not because of me... I was a disorganized wreck going into it and everybody pitched in and made it awesome. With the music my friends kept the stage going on perfect schedule and made it sound awesome. In the skating everyone pulled together and made that happen as well with the judges and all.
This is a partial (not parcial, for all of you that caught the spelling error on my poster... *smacks forehead*) list of people who made this possible. The full list would be endless.
Stage and music people: The bands - all of them. Aaron - Stage Manager Shawn - Asst. stage manager Andrew - Asst. stage manager Billy - Awesome sound guy, everyone said so. Food people Gwen - the main cook and my sister. Gaya - for helping Gwen Angie - for helping Gwen Kelsey - for helping Gwen Isabella - for helping Gwen lots of other people - for helping Gwen
Skateboarding Jetti - Skate and waiver sign ups and my mom Justin - pretty much running the competition Joe - helping Justin Daniel - helping Justin Mac - helping Justin Wes - helping Justin, sucks about your ankle.
All ramps were provided by my buddy George McCool (old school skater with flames on his truck) and Limited Sk8 design (Skatepark steve, Justin Bell, Joe Lester, Daniel Foster & Steve Macantire)
And everyone who worked the gate at one time or another. You did an awesome job, thanks!
