1:30-3:00p.m.
Meeting Place: Tinas Kims office Cudahy, CA
Attendees: Vanessa Garcia, Tina Kim, Lalitha Nataraj, Lorena Ochoa
Meeting Places/Dates
-TK researched some probable sites using HereComesTheGuide.com and came up with the following list of places in the LA/Orange County Area:
Shutters on the Beach
Town & Gown @ USC
Aramark @ the Anaheim Convention Center
Castle Green
Park Plaza *
Casa del Mar*
Music Center
Wattles Mansion
Muckenthaler Mansion
Chateau Bradbury
Level 3*
*TK noted that these venues stay open the latest (1-2am) and might be the most ideal for our reunion.
-Ideal date for the reunion would be September/October 2006
Logistics (Dinner, Theme, etc.)
-TK suggested having a sit-down dinner package rather than a buffet
-Suggested themes include:
-Masquerade Ball
-Simple theme
-Hall of Fame
-Estimated attendees (depending on how many people we establish contact with) are about 100 (x 2 if people bring significant others/dates = 200).
Fundraising
-Monique Yessian (ne Bokaie) confirmed (after this meeting) that Santa Fe does not have a budget for reunions; c/o 96 will have to raise its own funds.
-Fundraising ideas included:
-selling custom T-shirts designed by TKs company, Ro Generation;
-having a raffle of some sort;
-bake sales/garage sales;
-carwash;
-Valentines day sales
-Invites
ACTION: TK suggested having printed invitations; she will investigate pricing
ACTION: MY has class list and will begin contacting c/o 96.
-Photographer
-possibility of having a photographer (roving/portrait) at the reunion
ACTION: LN, LO, & VG are investigating pricing/options
-TK mentioned requesting a dvd photo montage
-Catering
ACTION: LO will contact Henry (c/o 96 classmate who happens to be a chef) re: catering (AS OF 2/1/06-NO RESPONSE)
-need to establish what type of food there; making sure there are vegetarian options.
IV. Next meeting Date/time TBD [February 12/13?]
-Investigate what previous classes (c/o 95, 94) did to raise money for their reunions; ask about venue options. Who wants to do this?
-Investigate reunion planners

Updated information (1/25)
Per LOs myspace message:
*LO spoke to Mr. Yessian (SFHS); he indicated that unless were willing to share revenues from t-shirt sales with a school club/organization, we cannot sell items solely for our own profit. Sales, fundraisers, etc. are for students only. Mr. Yessian said previous classes had done the following:
-yard/garage sale;
-turnaround trip to Laughlin (NV?)
-carwash
C/o 96 will be allowed to use the campus to conduct these fundraisers.
Mr. Yessian also advised using a service such as greatreunions.com (similar to a wedding planner but for reunions and they do all the legwork). Given how busy most of us are, a reunion planner may be a viable option.
