So whats new with the Barnacles? First of all the band welcomes a fresh new face; enter Benjamin Ash, multi-instrumentalist, but will be joining the band's roster primarily as guitarist, occasional bassist, and whatever else fancies the band, not to mention an extra set of ears in arranging and help in marketing. And that brings The Barnacles to a 5-piece. Welcome aboard Benjamin!
Work in the studio continues towards finishing the band's 4th CD, as yet unnamed. Some sneak peek tracks may be coming soon over the next few weeks/months. Don't miss it when they get posted. And while that work goes on, the band continues to stick with the agenda of rehearsing an all new live set and will return to the stage sometime next year, but may well do a perforamnce in the St. Louis area as a little dress rehearsal for what is to come. Look for that possibly in December. Also coming soon is new band photos, so be on the lookout for that as well.
Meanwhile, overdue for a reconstruction, The Barnacles principal website, thebarnacles.com website is currently re-directing traffic here to my space as temporary web headquarters until the all new site is completed.
The open-mic night hosted by Brian, of the Barnacles, has moved to Tuesday nights, so mark your calendars and head out to The City Club in downtown St. Charles and check it out as other barnacles make appearances giving sneak peeks of new material, some of which will be on the upcoming new album. So hear it while it is still raw. And come out and bring your guitar, your accordian, your cello's, or just your plain self and show support for The City CLub's Open Mic night every Tuesday.
See ya here or see ya there!
