Current mood:Argumentative
The following is from some emo supporter that chases around youtube ragging on everyone that has a problem with emo. His letter was in response to a comment and letter from me, below his letter you'll see my response and point

So basically, you hate the people who are taking your music away from you? Maybe if you wrote better music, you wouldnt have to worry about people taking away your money. Do wahtever you want, i dont care. If you love it, then go for it and make your music. But if they like making music, then who gives a shit? Im sure not all of them are in bands JUST for the profit. Im sure a lot of them actually love to play despite if you hate their music or not.

And wow. Sure. Teenagers might be a depressed bunch. Are you telling me youve never been depressed? and don't tell me that you have had real problems to be depressed over. Im sure a lot of them DO have problems to be depressed over. And just because they arent getting raped every day by their dad doesnt give them a reason not to be sad.

Look at the shit in this world. People hating others for their fashion or music? Yeah im sure realizing how much society is shit can make anyone down sometimes. Its no reason to hate them.

No one likes trends dude. But if its a trend, it will die out. And hating them for looking like "fagS" isnt a good reason either.
Let them play their music if they love it, and you play your music. Youre still going to have supporters. And a lot of people that like the music might not like it because of fashion. Sure they might like it because some of it is sad, but you know what. Theres sad shit in every music no matter what it is.

At least something sad actually has substance rather than most pointless lyrics about getting high because people resort to drugs and drinking to deal with shit they don't want to fix, then it builds up on everyone else.

I get what you're saying, but i just dont get how you and thousands of others can actually hate a person for how they look or for the sake of the music. Hating anyone is pretty immature, but id have more understanding for hate of someone who actually did something to you, such as killing someone you love. As opposed to someone who is getting more money off of kids attending their shows.

My response

hahahaha, you don't get it at all do you? The goal of corporate pop culture is to strive for mediocrity. A musicians credidation is no longer based in talent more or less the number of records sold. Do you honestly think the world would be a better place if songs like "my humps" where cherished bits of musical expression? I am anti-pop culture for that very reason. And as far as depression goes yea I was a suicidal teen, and I wouldn't have appreciated someone exploiting that fact to make me buy clothing and records. My hatred steams not from these kids being mindless followers of the latest trend, but the corporate monsters that are tugging at the strings behind it. The part you clearly don't see. Sadly neither do most of the people that hate emo.
And no it's not about money, it's about music. And what happens in 20 years when there is no such thing as a true musician anymore because it's all become a business instead of a passion? Look at the decline of musicianship in pop culture from the early days of recording, to present day. Tell me you don't see the pattern of decline here.

Thats alright though, if you really want to live in a world where your personality is prescribed to you by your government and it's corporate sponsors, then be my guest and keep riding that band wagon. I'm going to fight for what I know is right. Which is a world that allows people to think for themselves, and not being brainwashed or manipulated into believing they are rebellious or cool or fitting in by conforming.

So why is that kid talking? I get it he 7 paragraphs about the same thing. He could (and should) have just siad "hey I like my music and you like yours, just like you like wearing those cloths and I like anything in hot topic thats above $70" because if would have made me feel he wasnt fucking retard. All of my little brothers friends are into the whole emo thing and I even have a friends who said " I dont feel sad I just like the cloths and music" I asked how much a pair of pants where and he said "I only order them from CCS because there girl pants fit the best so $60 plus shipping"................ From what I understand places throw shit away and even though its been in the trash you can wash it (thats free or about $1 if you need to go to a laundry mat) plus if you have to go to wall-mart you can buy 3 full outfits for about $60 "plus shipping". BUt I'll say it I get what hes trying to say and its let people be who they are, but youre not who you are if all you do is follow trends and try to stay kewl. Fuck dude I hate emo kids there so fucking stupid they think they have fucking problems but if you look at them as a whole I bet more then 90% are rich kids trying to fucking be kewl. I give alot of props to the people that started it yea because they felt something and it wasnt something to do to be kewl it was people with problems and bands that tryed to help those problems but if there a fucking band now then they can fuck themselves.... But then again I'm an Anti-Pop person to living in a family where the favorite bands around here are shit like Motion city soundtrack, Armor for sleep, and Hellogoodbye........ Fuck that kid I hope he fucking looses everything so he has to see what its like to fucking suffer threw life that will give him something to be sad about crying never gets you anything but a good ass kickin'

LOLOLOLOLOL....ha He sounds like a pussy and you sound like a self rightous "saviour" of Punk rock. You both are morons. Last time I checked, mohawks, plaid, biker jackets, ETC is a uniform and a fashion, or anti-fashion. Wait... anti-fashion is a fashion. Ohh..and last time I checked. People get used to things and after a while loud, brash and offensive names lose their effectiveness. Its like they market themselves for a reaction and to get noticed, but when everyone has a silly name they are actually conforming. Same thing with just flat out bad music, playing bad for the sake of sounding "raw" and "punk as fuck" is just as conforming. Like I said...you both are idiots. Also both similer when you look at things in a different light, you just like two different things. other than that take it easy and relax a little, I mean really, you did get repercussions from pissing someone off. Its just funny as fuck because both of you are talking shit for the sake of talking shit. its not like either of you are gonna do anything but cyber bully each other ( which is just flat out douchey)And please post this and make fun of me. You would just prove me right
And when you do post this thank me, cause Im just doing you a favor and giving you something to bitch about and enthrall your listeners. So you can brainwash them on how society is brainwashing them. lol later

What cracks me up about people like you is, you see no point in standing up or fighting for anything, you only attack those that attempt to stand up for there beliefs. I suppose this world was formed by conformists that would just assume bend over and take it up the tail pipe, rather then standing up and saying I don't agree with this. Well forgive me for not being that little compliant bitch of a person which you seem to think I should be. And no one said shit about uniforms outside the douche I was arguing with to begin with. I'm into punk music sure. But looking at me you would never guess it. I dress casual. I don't groom myself in any manner. I don't even bother to cut my hair. And I listen to more then just punk music, I'm into all forms of REAL music, ranging from the old delta blues, to old bluegrass and even classical. Point is no one should accept commercialism. When music becomes a point of making profit instead of a form of art, something has been lost. So crawl back into bed if you don't care. Let the world become one big cultural shopping center filled with mindless drones. I'll continue to fight for my beliefs. As those that came before me did!

I honestly added you because I do repsect what you do. I do like similer music as well. I have my own opinion, thats why I say what you do. Understand this, Iggy, The Ramones and MC5 only awkwardly proclaim themselves as the fathers of punk rock. In all reality...they dident care, all they wanted to do was have fun and get paid for it. Punk rock itself is just a tool to sell records...think about it, Why do famous old punk bands get together to make a "comeback"? Why did epitaph records do their summer tour back in the 80's and 90's before there was the warped tour? Why did th warped tour become? Why are there soooo many punk labels to begin with? Why is there a punk style? Its all about conformity. You conform. Hell when you really think about it, you wave the banner for conformity. Think a second, really think about it. Bands like cocksparrer, leftover crack and so-on.....its all a tool. If the guys from leftover crack were true "crackheads" there wouldent be a band to begin with. Its all bullshit is what Im saying. Also, If you truly appreciate music, then you would be ablr to appreciate emo in some form . Its music as well. I wonder if you heard of lifetime,383 stroker.....or really anything off of jadetree or deep elm. I wont lie, its mostly crap, but it does have a Few..and only a FEW brightspots. Besides....how do you really fight for your beliefs? By ranting and calling out little high school kids as fags? cmon dude

Hey man, we're with you all the way. What you've been saying is basically what we've been thinking for a long time! Personally, I believe that musical taste is all opinion, and people should be able to listen to whatever the fuck they want. But I do agree that this fucking trendy ass "scene"-kid emo shit has gotten waaaay out of hand. In my town, they turned what could have been a pretty cool music scene into a fucking social club, where everyone treats you like shit because you don't wear you fucking sister's pants. And I agree that this shit is only popular because of stupid-ass maketing campaigns that say, "Listen to this, and you'll be cool." So, yeah, Dark Twat is on your side of this argument.

But seriously almost all teenagers are god damn retards. No matter what trend they fall into, they think they're doing something that makes them an individual, and really they're just another stupid ass kid with no identity that dress accordingly to the style of music they listen to. I did the same shit, but of course that's back when non-pussy Metal was the deal, so I grew up as a non-pussy. I can only imagine what emo kids are going to grow up to be like, I just hope I'm wrong because I don't want our nation to be run by pansies.

lol, I was never well off enough to have a fashion sense. All my clothes where hand me downs or came from the salvation army. Then at the ripe ol' age of 14 I became homeless. It was a struggle from then on. These kids now days got it pretty fucking simple. I would have never been able to afford girl pants and eyeliner hahahahaha
