A shot of Smoke Feathers huddling on the frozen surface of Bewl Water has won the
Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Award, and will be on display at the National Portrait Gallery from the 5th November to the 14th February 2010 (admission free).
The
picture was taken by our close friend Spencer Murphy, a professional
photographer who has snapped subjects as far flung as Gordon Brown and
the Beastie Boys. To check more examples of Spencer’s work, click

Where there's smoke, there's ice.
