Current mood: creative Category: Music
Indeed, it has been a few weeks since the name Conflict has been
shouted at any local LV venue. Worry not friends, that only means that
good things are coming.... soon. With a torrent of live shows across
the summer, we have taken a little break from the limelight, in some
cases willingly, and other cases unwillingly. Against this lapse
however, many things have been accomplished in the background. Thanks
to the diligent work of a few key members, we will soon have new merch,
songs for sale on virtually every online vendor imaginable, and most
importantly.... NEW SONGS!
Yes, seeds are already growing in the collective heads of COI. Every
member is getting a bit antsy to throw their own hat back in the ring
with more catching choruses, brutal breakdowns, and memorable melodies.
OK, all alliteration aside, we are stoked to bring you (the friends and
fans) more music to sing along to and bang your head (with your Jack
& Coke in hand). We will be shooting for a similar situation as
last year with a quiet holiday season, and an explosive new year.
As for what WE have been doing during the down time, read on....
After the COI tribute show to Alan Puskarich at Brand Steakhouse, Ryan
returned home to be with family and remember a brother and friend.
Andrew also returned home for a little r&r with friends from
college, and returned recharged and ready for the impending concerts
coming to LV. Lukas finally finished his work in Memphis, and is back
in Vegas for the start of his new career (wish him luck!). Justin has
begun his studies in Architecture, while both working and writing new
material (wish him luck too!). Mike has been prepping for his canoe
trip back home, but not before going to see Dream Theater at the Joint
with Andrew and COI friend Roger. One week later, Lukas and girlfriend
Angelle (sorry ladies he's taken) took a relaxing trip down to San
Diego, while his brother Eric and Andrew drove to Hermosa beach to
party with friends and see The Dillinger Escape Plan.
Now, post Labor Day weekend, COI is back to grind with working and
writing. Preparation for the Sept. 20th show for the Diablo's Cantina
Battle of the Bands has already begun, and a few new tricks may be
pulled out for a more unique COI experience. Come and support us as we
hope to (will) ascend one more round to the eventual win!
Until next time... Keep supporting the local music scene.
"You're hiding something, for sure...."
