Not a real link.

So, even though I told you that Plastic Parade Participant, the second Edward Almost-themed album, was going to be released in early January, it wasn't.  Nor should it have been.  A little extra remastering made it sound (exactly the same as it did before but did give me some piece of mind and assurance through sweat) better-ish.  It should hit cyber-shelves some time in late February now, but I'll let you know as soon as it's up.  That way, you can post comments about it on the iTunes website which will entice young music listeners. And I know how good many of you are at enticing the young. Too far in a blog.

I noticed today that the vast majority of cereal names (names for cereals) function on a simple syntactical premise: an adjective (or noun functioning as an adjective) followed by a noun.

Frosted (adj.) Flakes (n.)
Lucky (adj.) Charms (n.)
Shredded (adj.) Wheat (n.)

Now, there are several notable exceptions - Cheerios (fake n.); Cap'n Crunch (proper n.); Kashi (bullshit n.); Honeycomb (n.); Smacks (v., or n.)

Regardless of these variations, the general principle of naming a cereal seems to be a)"what is it like" followed by b)"what is it essentially?"

Q: Hey, what's that like?
A: Cookies.
Q: Is it cookies?
A: Not really. More like a crisp.
Q: What's a "crisp?"
A: Quit ruining the thing.
