So, I've been thinking lately about everything going on at work. One theme seems to be recurring: I'm tired

Tired of  feeling like an information ATM. Feeling like I am barely keeping up with deadlines and expectations. I can't wait until they upgrade the Pentium III workstation with 384MB RAM.

Tired of going in 7 of the last 9 weekends to try to do paperwork/research. Tired of putting in the extra hours and feeling that it's expected. I don't expecting a pet on the head every time I go into work on Saturday, but it would be nice to have someone just recognize the fact that I worked Saturdays to do things I couldn't get to during the week. I don't mind working those extra hours on Saturdays - without the amount of time stealing interruptions, I have been able to do about 6 hours of work in 4 hours.

Tired of feeling like I can't take an actual vacation. Tired of not knowing what mess I'll have to research / fix if I take a vacation / sick day and coming back just to have to catch up on even more e-mails / questions. WHY WOULD I WANT TO TAKE MORE THAN 1 DAY OFF IF I'LL HAVE TO WORK EVEN MORE HOURS ON THE WEEKEND?

I'm most tired of not getting that raise that was promised back in July then again in September. I'm tired of thinking that full time people hired within the last year make more per hour working the same regular 40 hour work week.

Right now, if I calculated correctly with the overtime I've been putting in, I can probably make the same amount working 2 part-time jobs at the mall working the same number of hours. Sad huh?
