On this day in 2000, I released the first compact disc on Bailey Records.  I started the label only months before in September as a formal way to promote three bands I was promoting – Seventh Seal, Quick Fiction, and Perfekt Gentlemen.  I took all three bands into the studio in Fall 1999 and we put two songs from each on a compilation disc called Hear No Evil, Volume One (Copyright 2000 Bailey Records).  Other bands featured on the compilation included my friends 5SS (who would later sign with Bailey Records as Zuzu Bailey), Harrisburg PA-favorites The Less Miserables, TinderBox (my old college band), the ever-popular Last Tuesday, and several others.

Here’s the complete track listing from Hear No Evil, Volume One:
1. QUICK FICTION – “Blinded”
2. THE LESS MISERABLES – “Something to Say”
3. 5SS – “Map of the World”
4. LAST TUESDAY – “Belief”
5. PERFEKT GENTLEMEN – “Dogs Are Not Like Fish”
6. SEVENTH SEAL – “Thou Wilt”
7. PTERADACTYL – “Where Terror Lies”
8. 5SS – “I am Judas”
9. CALIGO – “For Renee”
10. SEVENTH SEAL – “Do You Love Me?”
11. ABOUT A DAY – “Skies”
12. TINDERBOX – “Door”
13. QUICK FICTION – “Before”
14. SURGE AGAINST ALL – “Look At Me”
15. SHORT FUSE – “Best of Times”
16. PERFEKT GENTLEMEN – “Star Wars Extra”

To promote the release and sales of the disc (this was way before online distribution and digital downloads), I took many of the bands on the road together.  Those were fun days!
