Current mood: cheerful
For a little bit I was getting worried.
We've been on this drummer search for a while now. It's been pretty grueling on us, not knowing if we were going to find someone who could fill Carlos' shoes. Needless to say, it wasn't a cake walk.
But our good buddy Gary from Assassinate the Scientist hooked it up. He introduced us to one of the best drummers I've ever worked with. Good work ethic? Check. Ability to learn quickly? Check. Buttloads of talent? Double check. And what may be the most important: a focus on pursuing this whole "band thing" seriously? Checkeroo.
So, without further ado, I am glad to say that our new drummer is a beast named Kellen from right here in Gainesville, FL. Ladies, watch out, when you see his ghost notes you'll cream your pants.
It's been two days with him and he's already fitting in great. He's got the songs down, and we're ready to play some shows together. We're going to drink, we're going to rock, and we're going to have a grand ol' time. You should come say "hi" to the new guy the next chance you get.
I knew I shouldn't have worried.
Much love, Binh
