The Wonder Of You
I wonder what it is like to travel to you and not look back?
I suppose it is like having a cage of butterflies in my stomache.
I wonder what it is like to see you from afar?
I suppose it is like gazing at a star.
I wonder what it is like to bid you a sweet greeting?
I suppose it is like Romeo and Juliet's first meeting.
I wonder what it is like to walk with you down the street?
I suppose it is like having an Club DJ's set for a heartbeat.
I wonder what it is like to sit with you and finally speak?
I suppose it is like finding what I seek.
I wonder what it is like to reach and touch your arm?
I suppose it is like being covered in soul balm.
I wonder what it is like to put my hand round your waist?
I suppose it is like running fingers across something lace.
I wonder what it is like to dance with you in rhythm?
I suppose it is like two spirits existing in tandem.
I wonder what it is like to look deep in your eyes?
I suppose it is like the release of a zillion simultaneous sighs.
I wonder what it is like to move closer and to kiss?
I suppose there is nothing that even comes close to this.
