Blessed....We pray Egziabher (God) will assist me as We express these thoughts concerns, and feelings, in the name of my Savior Iyesus Christos Ras Tafari Qedamawi Haile Selassie.....
We've been sighting Ras Tafari for ten years now, and We must say that everyday has been a learning experience. Yes it is true...as time passing away knowledge is increasing! First things first...We pray The Lord will forgive me for all the wrong we have said, when refering to The New Testament(not including the book of Revelation), Christianity, The Church, and other Religions We may have doubted. We was ignorant when we spoke these wrongs...As my Savior has said, We must enter His Kingdom as a Child, yet many of us Ras Tafarians believe that once we sight His Majesty we are a Kingman or Queenwoman and that's it. Even our Bredren Berhane Selassie aka Bob Marley stated,"It's not how long you been Rasta, it's how long it takes you to grow up". Now to back up this statement I will quote Janhoy(His Majesty) Qedamawi Haile Selassie, "
We must look into ourselves, into the depth of our souls. We must become something we have never been and for which our education and experience and environment have ill prepared us.We must become bigger than we have been, more courageous, greater in spirit, larger in outlook. We must become members of a new race, overcoming the petty prejudices, owing our utimate allegiance not to nations but to our fellow man within the human community.
The Ras Tafarian Faith is a growing process, as His Majesty stated our education, experience, and our environment have ill prepared us. In order to take part in this resurrection we must re-invent ourselves. We must follow after the perfect example His Majesty set for His children...These are those who are faithful, chosen, and they follow the Lamb where ever He goes (Rev 17:14) Now, those who are Faithful followers of the Lamb will do as the Lamb has done. In knowing this we know that as His Majesty has Conquerered so shall His children. We're making these points because there seems to be some confusion as to how Rasta is suppose to be, and what he is suppose to be doing... Some rasta don't believe in reading certain sections of the Bible, When Qedamawi Haile Selassie Ras Tafari Iyesus Christos said......
"We in Ethiopia have one of the oldest versions of the Bible, but however old the version may be, in whatever language it might be written, the Word remains the same, It transcends all boundaries of empires and all conceptions of race. It is eternal... from early childhood I was taught to appreciate the Bible, and my love for it increases with the passage of time... Today man sees all his hopes and aspirations crumbling before him. He is perplexed and knows not whither he is drifting. But he must realize that the Bible is his refuge and the rallying point for all humanity. In it man will find the solution to his present difficulties and guidance for this future action, and unless he accepts with clear conscience the Bible and its great message, he cannot hope for salvation. For my part I glory in the Bible."
Some don't believe in Iyesus Christos (Jesus Christ)...yet they call themselves by His New Name (Ras Tafari). In Janhoy(His Majesties) own words....... "With the birth of the Son of God an unprecedented, an unrepeatable, and a long-anticipated phenomenon occurred. He was born in a stable instead of a palace, in a manger instead of a crib. The hearts of the wise men were struck by fear and wonder due to His majestic humbleness. The kings prostrated themselves before Him and worshipped Him. "Peace be to those who have good will." This became the first message. When He sacrificed Himself at Golgotha for the atonement of our sin, He prayed with his last breath for the forgiveness of those who had tortured Him, saying, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do." Shame on those of us who are Christians and do not follow the way of the Savior of the world, Whose life was filled with kindness, humility, and martyrdom!"
Some don't believe in going to the Ethiopian Tewahedo Church, when we know it for a fact that not only did His Majesty go to Church, and built Churches, He also was given the title The Defender of the Faith..
We can say these things because we were one of those Ras Tafarians. Or were we? I mean we were calling myself a Ras Tafarian, but we wasn't doing as Ras Tafari had done. So we thought to ourself...what does that make me, We're not even following after the teachings of my teacher, what does that make me...... If it wasn't for His Grace, Mercy and Compassion we would have still been one of those with His name in my mouth, while my heart far from HIM...As we mentioned Ras Tafarian Faith is a growing process....
Many of us Ras Tafarians have been calling God Jah......His Majesty called God Egziabher ( Amharic)...Now we quick to say Jah is short for Jahovia , but you can't shorten Gods name, in fact ther's no letter J in Hebrew. Jah is the short form for Jahbulon.. the name of he whom is not to be mentioned (Apollyon...Abaddon), he who will decieve the whole world even thee elect if it were possible. This is another reason why it is a must for all Ras Tafarians to learn Amharic...It is the language of our King and our Kingdom. Ethiopian is and will be The New Jerusalem...Let us called to Our King in His tongue, not the tongue of our oppressors..This is all apart of becoming something we never were as His Majesty state. Which brings us to saying His name correctly, for years we been saying Ras-Ta-faaar-i and that is not how you say his name in His Language. If someone were to pronounce your name wrong is it still your name...that's a rhetorical question we should ask ourselves...In Amharic His name is pronounced Raas (roll the R)-Te-feri. Ras means, "Head" or Prince, Tafari means, He who is to be reverence...It's important we learn these facts..Qedamawi (The First) Haile Selassie (Might of The Trinity)..Egziabher (god) said,"No longer will He let His name be defiled by the heathen"...
Janhoy(His Majesty) is a Christian, and Ethiopia is a Christian Country. So for Ras Tafarians to deny Christianity is to deny Qedamawi Haile Selassie , which in essence ones are denying their Salvation. Let me make something clear, Orthadox Christianity is not the same as the Christianity here in the west. The Holidays are different, the year and time, the worship, Fasting, etc.. Ethiopia is not only a Christian country, but a practising Christian country. There is a diffence. So We must say that Janhoy(His Majesty) has open my eyes and lead me to the Ethiopian Tewahedo Church. So that We may continue to follow the Lamb where so ever He may go. We're no better than anyone, in fact We are the lease of my bredren. Yet His Majesty has shown us these facts to share with all who are willing to learn. It's no secret that we are living in some very serious times, and with that said, We just hope all of you whom call upon the name of Egziabher (God) Janhoy (His Majesty) Qedamawi (The First) Haile Selassie (Might of the Trinity) Ras Tafari (Head or Prince who is to be reverence) Iyesus Christos, will continue strengthening your faith, Love, and Knowledge...We must follow the Lamb where ever HIM goes....Janhoy(His Majesty) went to the Ethiopian Tewahedo Church, so shall is children..Janhoy spoke Amharic, so shall His Followers.. Janhoy confessed Iyesus Christos, and So will His Flock....We all must Love another before ourselves this is thee example Iysus Christos set, and Janhoy(His Majesty) forefilled...The quest for knowledge stops only at the grave......Selam
