On one particularly sunny day in February, I had the idea that it might be fun to set up turntables in Dolores Park and force my musical taste on the unsuspecting picnic-ers and Speedo'ed couples that populate that area on the weekends.  So, I says to my boy Nisus, "Nisus (I do not address him as Nisus), we should set up our turntables in Dolores Park and force our musical tastes on the... (etc)."  He said, "Cool." 

We did it and it went well.  Then we did it again a couple weeks ago and it went even better.  The day ended with Kid Beyond getting on the mic and having a "scratch" battle with DJ Aspect.  Everyone was a winner.

So, here's a mix inspired by the soul and soulful hip-hop that we've been playing on these spring afternoons, with a little indie rock thrown in 'cause I can't help it.  Enjoy.
