Well guys,
I recently visited a place I have been dying to go. It's this little german restaurant called The Black Forest Mill a.k.a the German Corner a.k.a the German Sausage House. This place was delicious.

I first noticed this place because it is located directly next to a funeral home. Spooky. Nothing like spitting out grandma's wedding ring when you're fork deep in liverwurst! But honestly this place's exterior is really deceiving from it's interior. It's located on Indian School and 3900 (or so) in Phoenix. The outside of the building is square and fairly plain so lets move on to the inside.

Everything inside is dark wood and it is absolutely stunning! The dining section is on the right while the bar is on the left. There is a decent size dance floor which is also all dark wood in finish. The establishment is incredibly clean with the exception of the bathroom which shows some wear and tear.

I ordered the jagerschnitzel (forgive the spelling) along with sauerkraut and the sausage sampler with a dark house beer in the boot! Yes, I had help eating all of this. (but the beer was mine) Jagerschnitzel is simply breaded pork that is pan fried and in this case served with steamed veggies. IT was wonderful; crisp, buttery breading with salty pork. Need I say more? The sausages have to be tasted to describe how good they were. They showcased i believe four different styles of sausage and to be honest I can't remember what they were. The sauerkraut was the best I have ever had, period! Served hot it was a great compliment to all dishes ordered.

This brings me to the Boot! For those of you who do not know, the Boot of Beer is a popular glass of beer that is shaped like a boot and is a little tricky to drink. The name of the dark house beer I ordered escapes me for now but the Boot experience has not. It is served in a formidable size and it is the Boot's tip that is the killer! As you drink to the tip air escapes into it and beer rushes into your face (normally you miss your mouth altogether at this point.)
If you give the Boot a twist at the right moment you will ease the beer into your mouth a little easier.

I had a wonderful experience at the Black Forset Mill and would return anythime. Very friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere make this place a must on anyone's list.
Take care and take out,

Marcus
