Current mood:Neutral

Goooood afternoon Parka peeps!

Not posted a blog in a bit so thought I'd do another one to let you all know whats been going on in the Parka world over the last few weeks, we've had a  a fair old time its safe to say!

Have to start with T in the Park: this might actually be one of the best times we've had as a band. We'd not played any big festivals as such, I'd never even been to one to watch but we had a stunning time.We were on the T break stage at about the same time Glasvegas were on Futures stage and Kooks were on the main stage so we had some hefty competition, but cheers to everyone who came to see us! Our crowd was easily one of the biggest on the T break stage, yous lot were mental...made it well special for us. And of course, we got to walk about slightly peshed watching Rage Against the Machine and Kaiser Chiefs later...quality day!

We had a decent rest after that and we were gonna need it for our 72 hour 3  gig stint, starting at Club NME night in Koko's in Camden. My bass dying and Marks keyboard lead breaking didnt stop us from playing a cracking set infront of a sold out Koko's...I even had time at the end to take a cheeky photo of the crowd which were mental, cheers to everyone who came along and made that gig so good for us!

Right after the set, we trucked up to the Wickerman Festival in Scotland, and we knew we were home when the sun disappeared and you couldnt see for mist...we love it. We were a bit gutted we didnt get to hang about much cos straight after the gig we had to leave again for London, but what we saw of Wickerman was excellent, only had time for a walk around, game of footy and I spotted Jack Sparrow watching us in the crowd, chased him all over the festival for a photo but he kept runnin away, dafty that he is.

Lastly, we had to get back down to London that night for the Ben & Jerrys festival in Clapham, London. THAT was stunning; Free ice cream, toe wrestling competitions, 29' heat, all the security folk were from pretty much round the corner from me so there was a hundreds of Glasweigan blokes invading Clapham Common and we got to hang bout with some snazzy peeps! Ash, The Lemonheads and Get Cape Wear Cape Fly were kicking about, Gail Porter was enjoying some ice cream and we got to chat to the actual Jerry of Ben & Jerrys, he was rocking out to some Parka too, he can shift those hips so he can.

I dunno bout the other boys, but since then I been sleeping!
I put a load of pics up for yous to browse too in my own photo folder, the boys will chuck up their folders soon too since we all blagged good camera phones from our network providers now :)

Anyways that was just a wee update, we have Live at Loch Lomond festival and Wizard Festival in Aberdeenshire coming up this month, as well as VW Action in Santa Pod Raceway near Northampton, so if youre about come see us and say ello!
Cheers to everyone who came to see us, and cheers to Alessandro for helping us out massively over the weekend :)

Have a nice eve folks!
