What a magnificent song! Cudos!

But I'd rather that you filled the bridge with a nice big romantic guitar than Thomas Troelsen-80s-pop-ramblings (God bless him)...!

But as I said, fantastic song - the album will be your best!

The Last Dance sounds *amazing*! I could hear this being played on one of those currently popular "teen" tv shows like 90210 or Gossip Girl.  Hey, if they can play The Ting Tings and other lesser bands than you, they should certainly include your music.

I think an alternate title of "The Last Date" could work too.

great melody, cool lyrics... there are some great elements, but I'm not totally feeling this tune or the production... starting to doubt that troelsen is the right guy for you atm... fuck the glossy pop shit and cheesy synth-solos... hope to hear some even darker harder rougher noisier more out there desperado violent tunes from you next time....  With that said, I really still fuckin believe in this masterpiece of an album you're creating

First thing, I'd build up the second verse by adding a lot of Pet Sounds-esque percussion as well as some drum accents. That way it's not just a straight repeat of the first verse.

I like the idea on the bridge leading into the outro, just flesh out the quiet part a little better and ditch the synth pad, maybe replace it with some vocal harmonies or even some synth chords (16th notes) for some excitement.

Keep the combo-organ just before the last chorus on the final version, that's just great! Other things to keep for the final: how quickly the vocals come in, the drums coming into the first chorus, the glock (or celeste, can't tell), that synth beating out a single quarter note on the second half of the verses.

Finally, I'd personally change the title and chorus to "The Last Date." It's a little more modern and anti-romantic without carrying the 50 years of bad nostalgia associated with dances and popular music. Plus a last date would go better with the theme of drugs ruining a relationship.

BTW, I meant to say "arpegiated synth chords" for the bridge.

the last date? noooo wayyyyy, the last dance has all those great connotations of innocence and such. The last date has connotations of...what? Lets not go there.

Where's your voice...male raveonette guy? (I'm so lame for not knowing it...:P) I wouldn't mind a bit of it...also, that organ at the end sounds so alone. Maybe try a weirder sounding synth (new direction?) or stick with some classic big-time-reverb guitar. At least add a shit load of reverb to the organ.

Sounds great though.

Personally I'd drop the synth solo for a guitar solo... You are the master of guitar cool. Can never get enough of that...

Anyhow, it's not up to me. Do what YOU feel is right..... You'll know better than anyone when you've cracked it.

All the best...
