Ghost Deck came about when Spade Deck was discussing to drop a mixtape containing there own music besides freestyles. Since they were so deep into the process - they decided to make it a album. They have recorded some songs including there first street single "Face the Music" in New York. "We just wanted to be in that raw atmosphere," said Merc'. Where it all started. Christyle and I flew to NY for a couple weeks to meet up with Kidd. Bishop came shortly after. We were all zone out and just excited to be together doing music that we desire. We spent time sight seeing, shopping, freestyling, and recording our visit. We spent some nights at Bishop's grandmother crib in the BX (Bronx, NY) and wrote songs in the basement lol.
Ghost Deck LP has some surprises, like a cut - Mercy wouldn't reveal its name but contains a unexpected sample. A standout track is the Geist-produced "Spade Deckloration," which has all four members going back and forth - rapping about each other. New signee Novation provides the soulful songs such as "Make the Best of It," a childhood melody "Lucky Charms," and "High School Crush" featuring P. Dot. Other standout tracks such as "Do the Shuffle" produced by Sha Reef and "Double Standards" provided by Clymax will have the club knocking.
"That's the thing with us...We're not limited to anything" quoted Kidd Hazzard. Christyle also believes this will be the best group album that's up and coming. "It's the Deck and we're here to lock it down" she says. The Ghost Deck LP promises to be highly anticipated and ready to scare Hip Hop on Halloween. "If you didn't hear "Chain of Command" then you better off hiding under a rock" claims Bishop.
