I had to put Charlie down last night.
I took him to the vet last night, to check on his leg and to check on this abcessy thing on his rear end. His foot was fine. It healed good and pretty straight.
The abcessy thing turned out to be a hernia that had pushed half of his intestines out of where they were supposed to be. The abcessy thing ended up rupturing on Sunday. I poured hydrogen peroxide on it and got him doggy diapers and stuff. When it ruptured, the intestines were exposed to the outside and died.
It sucked...I've never had to but an animal down before and it seemed like it all went by too fast. ..He was a good dog...I miss him already.
