Jennifer Martin	fertility problems? do you have any idea how long they "tried" to have kids before they got pregnant??? they were married in june of 1999 and had the twins in the fall of the following year. they certainly didn't try very hard to get pregnant naturally. did you read her book? she's all for "playing god" when it comes to getting pregnant with 8 children (i think it was 8 before she lost 2 "naturally" b/c they couldn't survive the circumstances), but is against picking the strongest to survive. so basically, she will look to science to get pregnant, but her "morals" tell her she can't look to science to get "less" pregnant. seems like 2 contradicting ideas to me. she's the devil. in the beginning, the show was very informative and eye opening (when she used to yell at her husband for not using a clipped coupon to save 20 cents) but now, it's ridiculous (tummy tucks, tanning, nails done, hair perfect, nice clothes). i mean, look at the transformation over the years. she never had make up on, her hair was a mess, and she wore sweat pants (except for the interview part of the show, where she managed to emasculate her husband to no end). if you're a mother of EIGHT children, can you honestly tell me you have time to go tanning/get ur nails done/all that other shit she's always off doing?!   Posted by JennJenn aka Mrs Miner! on June 28, 2009 - Sunday - 4:47 AM [Reply to this]

	Lisa lisa kulesza	jon encouraged her to dress better..that was a whole episode on him taking her shopping..she had the tummy tuck because she had all that extra skin from carrying 6 kids...the mother of the raising sextuplets show had one too, yet no one attacks her..and after kate had the surgery on her stomach, she felt better about herself, and started doing other things to make herself look better..much like someone who loses a lot of weight will start wearing makeup, doing their hair, etc..   if you had eight kids, wouldn't you want some time to yourself??? we're really going to criticize her for getting her hair and nails done??? please...how petty we do see her putting jon down alot, and i do not like some of the things she says to him, or the little things she picks on him for, but i don't know how much patience i would have with someone who is not good at expressing their feelings (which he has said himself in episodes..and their daughter cara is the same way), or has said that he would rather play with them than take care of them (something else he said himself in an episode)... 8 children has to be a ton of work..i have 5 dogs and its exhausting..i can't imagine that many children...you have to be organized to do that efficiently..i think she just stresses herself out to the point where she gets angry and comes off as a megabitch..i do believe all she wants is for her kids to be taken care of, be happy, and have a lot of fun experiences, which is what this show has done for them.. all the money this show has made will ensure that they will never want for anything..i don't even want to know what the cost of 8 children is, or what their college bills will be!!!   Posted by Lisa on July 11, 2009 - Saturday - 5:44 PM [Reply to this]

	Tana	I think people started to watch this show because it was "fun" (I guess) to see someone deal with 8 kids.  It would not have been a bad thing if she was doing the show to actually help other moms who have "many" kids at once, or to enhance "motherhood," but she created this "devil" by emasculating her husband, being a total bitch and becoming "power-happy."  However, the public (the ones that tune in) LIKE that sort of thing and WATCHED, which made the ratings go up -- the more she was a bitch, the higher the ratings.  I've seen the show a total of 4 times (at way different intervals), including the last where they announced they were getting a divorce -- obviously, they saw BIG $$ in doing it on air.  Shame on them both.  JON needed to grow a spine, but NOT become a DICK when doing so; Kate needs to learn to get off her pedestal and believe there are other opinions out there instead of only her own (the amount of children does NOT make you a "better" mom, by any means).  Now I'm babbling...sorry.   Posted by Tana on June 29, 2009 - Monday - 3:02 AM [Reply to this]

	Princess Adora	That's a horrible thing to say.  I wonder how many people commenting on this blog even have kids.  When you hav e kids, you realize that you will do anything and everything to make sure your kids are taken care of.  With 8 children, how could THEY (both of them, which is their deciscion, they are THEIR kids after all) not be trying to ensure a financially stable life for their kids. I don't think that they should be persecuted for making the same choices other people make. Other couples divorce.  A lot of those divorces are far more brutal than what I see going on in their relationship.  But because they are open and in public they get this backlash.  How is that fair.  This backlash, and other people writing, and or airing things about them.. ie tabloids, tabloid news shows.. Blogs.  This is what is going to hurt these kids.  The way I see it, Their life is allready very public.  The paparzzi are hounding them non stop.
