Pontins tour week 6
Getting ready to travel to Prestatyn Wales in the morning. It was a great week of shows. Yeah tiredness has kicked in but the sheer excitement of peforming to a new set of people each night has definitely carried me through. Its important to me that each performance is like the 1st time. Especially when you have enthusiastic audiences. So Im ready to go. It will be an early start to get Sanz. I'll rest on the way to wales and try not to talk to much!! Im sure sanz will be glad for the peace and quiet!! Only a short tme for the remainder of the tour Its important to make every show count now. Will check in after the Prestatyn show.
Prestatyn show was good. A bit of a challenge as my voice is really tired now. No complaints just learning how to pace myself now. But another lively audience. A little weak on the vocals but it turned out well. Funniest incident tonight Sanz was carrying my pop up poster which is quite heavy ,this little kid walked into Sanz and accidentally hit his head. He turned round and was so shocked to see us he keeled over! poor lad. Sanz felt so bad! The look on the little boys face was a picture though he even had one of my signature cards in his hand and would not let it go for love nor money bless him!Nxt stop Blackpool.-----------------------------------------------------------------BlackpoolWe like blackool not only do I get to see the prettiest receptionst in the world Carrie who totally looks after me (Dont worry no funny things going on there she's pregnant and no Not mine before anyone asks!) But I get dinner and breakfast. I'm resting now until dinner time. I really appreciate Carries treatment. I get a decent room so I can relax until showtime which at this stage on the tour is so important. Love you Carrie Bless You!Newsflash - Sanz is winning 3-0 @ airhockey it was a massacre. And Sanz is making me know it too! He keeps asking me If I feel Freeeee today! I'm not happy! Need to get him back! and soon before he drives me mad!The show went really well. Colin the sound genius again made my vocals last and strong. A great sound engineer really makes a difference. But overall it was brilliant. Kids Young people and older demographics filled the dance floor and had a great time on the Journey into soul show. I felt quite proud.Next stop Southport.......Oh and for those keeping track of the air hockey tornament and backing sanz I've managed to level the score at 4-4. You know southport is gonna be crazy! And yep I am keeping track of the comments... trust me Sanz gives just as good if not better than he gets. He lapped the arcade about 5 times today. I thought he was gonna take his shirt off in celebration, but I think he would have scared the kids! lol------------------------------------------------------SouthportRight at Southport now and managed to play a bit more air hockey. This weeks scores now stand @ 7 - 4 to.................... Me! Yep kicking Sanz booty big time! His a little quiet! lol. But IK don't think its over yet. Sanz will be looking for revenge. I'll checkin after the show. I'm looking forward to this one full house apparently so really want to make sure this audience has a fantastic time. And there are a few I met last week that I have seen today who are looking forward to the show. No pressure !! Even got the Blue Coat ladies hyping the battle of the sex's. Its about time the Lads won 1!Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant night. The show just seems to get better and better. I'm not taking credit for it. But credit to the southport blues and an amazing audience. From start to finish was just enjoyable. The battle of the sex's won by the ladies yet again. Fantastic soultrainers! and all round great audience. I even have a challenge for the final show. We are challenging the blue coat ladies against the blue coat lads for the title of most coordinated team. Tracey the ents manager is in for a fight! Its on Southport Bluecoat ladies! The lads will be ready! I'm even gonna try and get a cup/trophy for the grand event! 3rd sept is D Day!All in all a great night loved it. Even clocked up the scores in air hockey to 9 - 6 and yes I'm winning Sanz supporters! But my celebrations were abruptly stopped as little Naomi with the grand age of 6 beat me with her eyes closed! I'm not Appy!!Brean tomorrow. Feeling less tired but pumped after 2nites show which really makes this journey worthwhile. I had such a good evening..... I love my job!
The Drive to Brean totally knackered me. I was so tired and slept most of the time I was there. Not bad performance when i woke up!! Eventually!! Sorry Darren and Jo. Coming to the end of the tour and its a bit of a challenge. Could really do with a few days to rest my vocal chords. But no sacrifice no victory!!

Camber was cool my voice complains after 5 days of vocals but..... it was ok today. Got through the set quite well. Or have I finally learned how to pace myself!! Its was great seeing some friends there today too. Nadia and the kids thanks so much for staying on. Every week is always new faces but this week I had some friendly faces to greet me. And they were brilliant at PR too. Had people interested to watch the show after Nadia's two little ones spread the word. Remember Kids dont lie!!! lol
The Blogs towards the end of the week got smaller and smaller sorry about that (Rachel commented.. no sympathy!!). I think the journey into soul is teaching me a new lesson about pacing myself. Noted and digested!! Im still having the time of my life, very grateful to Pontins for this opportunity only a few weeks left to go, I'll probably miss life on the road when its all over......hmmmmm errrr Nope!!! lol
Good night / Morning all Im going to get some well earned rest. Its a hard job entertaining the UK holiday makers, but someone has to do it and its an honour and a pleasure!! Until friday
