'The last time I was at The Workers we ended up getting booted out on
account of a friend of mine taking off his shoes and socks and rolling
'round on the floor like a lunatic, so I was somewhat
apprehensive about darkening its doors again. After a snaky shimmy
through to the bandroom it was all good however, and we arrived to hear
warm-up act Tic Toc Tokyo cutting some mean shapes. I’m not normally
one for processed music done as part of a live act, but these guys were
impressive. It was a very eclectic set, mixing wonderful vocal
harmonies with some funkadelic bass lines. It was a strange choice as
an opening act, but a good one and I must admit I was kind of excited
by them.'
