Here are some reviews of our 7" for ya'll to read.  It's amazing that anyone even gave the thing any consideration.  Thanks to everyone listed here who wrote a little something---special thanks to those who wrote a little somethin' nice.  It's very much appreciated!!

"More Crickets-esque Fifties recidivism, and I have to say this one really won me over. "Bring Your Love" is a total hit. Rolling drums, simple guitar line with an even simpler rhythm chord, perfectly delivered vox (and back-ups) and cymbal crashes. I'm truly enamored. I love that they're from Troy, NY too. I've been to Troy. There's nothing there! Perfect Upstate NY/Hudson Valley picturesque living. I picture these kid's days consisting of going to a Valley Cats afternoon game, maybe drinking some beers while fishing off a bridge and then heading to the garage for Cave Weddings practice. Maybe playing a gig at the bowling alley on weekends. Idyllic. The B-Side is just as loveable. "Let's Drive". It's about driving around with nothing else to do. Cruising. Maybe parking for some heavy petting. Gotta love it. Really nicely recorded too, drums sound great and the mix is nice'n'clear, but they still manage to evoke that old sound. This record will make you enjoy life more, I swear. Buy multiples. Oh yeah, this is Eric of the Happy Thoughts thing...Scum stats: 200 on Hozac Gold, awesome looking and very fitting sleeve design on the special edition. Regular sleeve is just OK.(RK)" --- www.Terminal-Boredom.com

Ha! Oh, man, we wish that Troy livin' could be idyllic as he described.

"If you've been sweating like a cold beer on a hot day over the next release by Eric LaGrange (Eric & the Happy Thoughts/Romance Novels), then you'd better just change your soggy pants right now. As each band he's been in seems to have evaporated just as the accolades roll in, this time Eric has teamed up with his talented lady and has deconstructed some of the best modern pop songs you'll hear before the apocalypse with this incredible debut 7" single by The Cave Weddings. Like watching The Clean teaching The Vaselines how to play Buddy Holly, The Cave Weddings' songs will instantly fill up any holes in your soul and rush the blood to all the appendages, as any classic record should. Two perfect songs that should be arriving at your house just as the warm air drifts across the land, this Cave Weddings single symbolizes the eternal sounds of Summer 2009 like few other records can. "Speaking of sheer pop enjoyment the Cave Weddings will probably make you giddy from it. Their new Hozac single is not quite their first release, the band previously put out a CD ep that was very limited and of course is now sold out, so for all intents and purposes this is their big debut, and it’s just about perfect. With the boy-girl vocal harmonies and their Flying Nun influences The Cave Weddings could single-handedly put upstate New York back on the musical pop map." -- http://finestkiss.wordpress.com

"Another day, another slice of American garage rock’n'roll. Yet another 7″ record on the increasingly amazing Hozac Records.

The Cave Weddings are a three piece from Albany, New York. But they could be from any town, any time. Especially a dead beat back water town circa 1966. This is a worthy successor to the 60’s sounds brought back into vogue by compilations like nuggets and pebbles. The Cave Weddings provided some driving guitar action on this two track 7″ single. ‘Bring Your Love’ kicks off proceedings and it’s a rollicking ride through 1960’s garage rock sound. The ‘B’ side ‘Let’s Drive’ keeps the 60’s vibe intact – but it hints at a 50’s rock’n'roll heart beating somewhere deep within The Cave Weddings." --- http://OddBoxRecords.com

"As simple and catchy as a Buddy Holly B-side, this duo from Albany, NY shows you don’t have to be from the big city to be super hip." --- http://blog.AllMusic.com

"Eric LaGrange must be awfully restless. With the Romance Novels, Eric & the Happy Thoughts, and now the Cave Weddings, he's toggled his shambolic guitar pop between three bands in little more than a year. On the surface, each seems little more than a nominal shift, but closer inspection reveals subtle nuances: the raucous Sonics-style riffs of his early stuff giving way to the sweetly sad jangle-pop melodies of the best Happy Thoughts material. And now we arrive at yet another summer, soundtracked by yet another Eric LaGrange outfit-- though it'd be a mistake, as their Myspace points out, to interpret it as a mere songwriting vehicle. The page says that Eric doesn't write their songs, but between his warm vocals and immediately familiar guitar lines, it could be mistaken for any of his other projects. The tambourine-beat rhythm, the clear and catchy melodies: it's all there. But there's quite a bit more there, too-- harmonizing vocals and Beach Boy ba-ba-bas, guitar crunch and bouts of frenetic shredding that were all mostly absent from his last group's work. Just check out the breakdown about three-fourths through, the way the cymbals crash with the pulsing guitar just after the 1:40 mark. There's a forcefulness you'd never hear in a Happy Thoughts track, though whether that's for better or worse is a matter of taste. Fortunately, it doesn't seem to be an either/or situation, with new material from both bands on the horizon. In the meantime, the Cave Weddings provide a nice LaGrange fix to kick back and relax to."  --- www.Pitchfork.com

This one was kinda weird because it's all about Eric.  Yeah, the song sounds different because there are other people in the band making contributions to the song. Oh, Pitchfork!

"I’ll admit, I just discovered these guys last week, following a link from Trev’s Oddbox blog. They’re… I mean…. uh… I just love ‘em. I guess these little band write-ups probably haven’t been amongst the more incisive critical broadsides you’ve read from the online music community recently, and, um, here’s where words fail altogether I guess. Like so many of these bands I like, these guys are just playing good-natured modern day garage rock, and why not? Done this well, it never gets old for me. Their song “The Last Time” is so good I nearly cried. They’ve got two guitars and no bass, and they’ve got “bah bah bah”s, and kick-ass little lead riffs and their songs are sad and funny, and…. well, they’re called THE CAVE WEDDINGS, for goodness sake! They are the sound of all things being right with the world. It’s enough to make me wanna get married in a cave. I’ll marry the coloured vinyl version of their 7” single, because it’s so darn pretty and unobtainable, and they can provide the soundtrack, and everyone will dance and cry." --- http://StereoSanctity.blogspot.com

"This, however, is lo-fi and very, very catchy. I was once on a long Greyhound ride through upstate New York, stopping in Albany (where this three-piece are from), with mostly Amish men who preferred to sit alone in silence. If this tune had been stuck in my head, it would have made the journey a lot more fun. It’s the perfect bust of energy to get the week going." --- http://www.seewhatyouhear.com

"Amazing debut from this side of Albany (New York), with an addictive single with two songs, "Bring Your Love" and "Let's Drive, which range between pop and garage rock, surf and between rock-and-roll, and that you are obligated to listen to them repeatedly, again and again ... In addition, the cover is fantastic!" --- http://homecactus.blogspot.com
