Hello Everyone,
It has been quite a while since I have reached out to you all and gave an update on things. Tina's tour finally finished in May and I jumped right into Guitars and Saxes 2009! It was great to see many of you after the shows and getting to a lot of places for the first time for me, not an easy thing to do after 20+ years of touring. With such a crazy schedule of live gigs, I had to schedule some time off to work on a new disc. I blocked out 6 weeks of "no touring" this summer to focus 100% on the recording and production of the new album. I wrote 9 of the 10 original tracks on the road this past year while touring the US and Europe. I also once again teamed up with Producer Paul Brown. The plan was to continue where Born 2 Groove left off. We recorded all of the rhythm section tracks live to achieve a very organic feel. We finished the disc in mid September, and much to my surprise, my new label, decided to get it right out and into the stores. So next Tuesday, October 27th will mark the release date of my 6th solo album in 10 years, titled Sunday Morning. Of which the title track has gone into immediate rotation here in LA on KTWV the WAVE. You can also preview the title cut right here on myspace.
I am very much looking forward to touring in support of the new disc and performing a show of new material. I leave tomorrow for Honolulu to conclude their smooth jazz series at the Aloha Towers Market Place. Then onto 4 nights at Jazz Alley in Seattle. It's truly one of my favorite venues in the world in one of my favorite cities in the world. Then I'll be "Jammin In Jamaica" with Warren Hill the week before Thanksgiving, then the Smooth Jazz Cruise in January, just to name a few. Stay tuned for some very exciting New Years info coming soon as well!
Eugegroove.com is in the process of a face lift thanks to Elizabeth Ware @ Visual Image, so check there often for new dates and info as it comes in.
Thank you all for your continued support over the last 10 years. It's truly hard to believe that it's been that long.
Hoping this update finds you happy and healthy,
Euge
