If I would've known, if I had only known... If I would've known, if I had only known... If I would've known, if I had only known... If I would've known, if I had only known that day would be the last.
I would hold you, I would have told you, you are my best friend. You could hold me, you could have told me, this love never ends.
So much to ask but so little time, when time isn't on your side I open my eyes, this is not a dream, it's just a fact of life.
I would hold you, I would have told you, you are my best friend. You could hold me, you could have told me, this love never ends.
If I would've known, if I had only known... If I would've known, if I had only known... If I would've known, if I had only known... If I would've known, if I had only known that day would be your last.
YOU GAVE ME COURAGE, YOU GAVE ME STRENGTH, YOU GAVE ME LOVE, WHEN I WAS WEAK.
You gave me courage You gave me strength You gave me love When I was weak.
YOU GAVE ME COURAGE, YOU GAVE ME STRENGTH, YOU GAVE ME LOVE, WHEN I WAS WEAK.
I wrote this song after re reading a letter my Great Grandma had written to me right before she died. The letter talks about how she saw great potential in me and it basically encouraged me to stay strong and to hold fast in my faith. When I read it I realized how much it helped me through some really rough times in my life. It helped to know that even when I didn't have faith in myself she always had faith in me. My "Big Mama" was honestly the most compassionate person I had ever met, she would love anyone no matter what they did to her. I eventually came to realize that the reason she showed everyone so much love was because of the love that Jesus Christ had showed her. She taught me that that love wasn't meant to be held in us but it was meant to be shared with as many people as you possibly can share it with. The name of the song is titled Love Never Dies because even though she passed away the love that she shared with other people still lives on. This song really focuses on the fact that there were so many things I never got to share with her and the fact that I was never really being able to accept the fact that she was dieing right before my eyes. This woman was a woman after gods own heart, SHE GAVE ME COURAGE, SHE GAVE ME STRENGTH, SHE GAVE ME LOVE, WHEN I WAS WEAK.
