'' When church bells ring and a soft guitar and bass riff sets in you
expect to hear an Isis and Pelican like doom and post hardcore metal.
But this French band from Florence surprises me with a very simple drum
roll and ditto guitar riff and the speed they play their death doom
metal. They leave the pedal at ease in ‘November Doom’, which is
actually the thing they do best: the more doomy, the better.
Unfortunately the band seems to be searching, so the other three
songs are creepy due to the spoken and whispering vocals, but when the
vocals turn grunting they just seem to lack energy and force. A
standard and not very special release yet more than a good effort. More
attention to catchy riffs and a more pounding production, and the first
full length ‘Disagio Suite’ that is on hands could be a killer.''
