On a very, very hot day in June... Sunday 28 June to be precise... I took part in one of the "Race for Life" events to raise money for Cancer Research.  It was an amazing day.  Plenty of people had turned out to support the women who were taking part, and while they enjoyed the sun, or tried to find the shade (hard to find on Epsom Downs I can tell you), the rest of us made our way round the course in the blazing midday sun.

I want to say another big thanks to all of you who took the time to sponsor me for this great cause.  I surpassed my target of £500 and have so far raised £630, which is really amazing!  I know you all know how much it means to me to raise money to help not only members of my family who are battling cancer, but to all those many other families who have been affected.  It was very emotional to read all the messages of dedication people had written on the back of their t-shirts.
