the Interns went into Chase Park in November of 2008 to record what would become our debut record. Initially we had thought we could get it mixed, mastered, and done by the end of January 2009. That was foolish... After months of mixing, mastering, and deliberation we are proud to present the Interns....

It was a long, hard journey to get this in the heads and hands of someone besides the small group of people working on it.

We want to especially thank Drew Vandenburg , without whom this record would never have been completed nor would it have been as fulfilling and gratifiying to finish. Thanks to David Barbe; the knowledge, guidance, and generosity imparted by David can never be repaid in full, our gratitude is inexpressable, he is a sage mentor and a great friend in this lost world. The official release of the Interns will be on August 20th, 2009 at 40 Watt in Athens, Ga. We will have official, sequenced hard copies available for purchase.

In the meantime, we will be making a short run up to New York City and back with Futurebirds, ending in a show with Cracker at The Earl in Atlanta on July 22nd.
