Wish I'd seen you guys at Chastain, but didn't make it. Being from Atlanta I have seen so much music since 40 years ago when the Allman Joys, later the Allman Brothers, plugged up and wanted someone to play for under the covered picnic tables in Piedmont Park Atlanta in Midtown it is absurd, including great music in that beautiful ampitheater at Chastain. I was at Piedmont Park every weekend and soon Grand Funk and Radar, Wet Willie and Sweetwater and others were playing with them. The great summer of '69 started a wave of music in Atlanta all through the 70s that, looking back on it, was incredible. Mother's Finest, Kansas (They used to come into a bar I worked at for years in the late 70s, and Dave Hope and I were good friends. He was and still is Kansas' bass player for they still perform some). The B52s were everyone's favorite dance band before they got big. There were others also later like Drivin and Cryin. I was at The Great SE Music Hall all through the early 70s almost every night. ..
......

I was 18 in '69 and Loggins and Messina were doing some of the most beautiful music anyone had ever heard.....
