Proposed laws published by the government today indicate a much tougher approach in future to people who persistently downloads music and video from free file sharing sites. The government proposal will protect the intellectual property of internet content creators by terminating the broadband service of persistent downloaders without notice or warning

The problem of free downloads from copyright breaking file share sites is a big problem in the music and film industries. While we may feel no sympathy for the recording and media companies who have been overcharging for years most of the musicians, actors, writers and production technicians are freelance and depend on royalties from sales for their income. While people who delude themselves they are technical wizards because of their ability to press a button can easily believe they have a right to free music and entertainment, they are not bright enough to understand they are depriving the session musicians, supporting actors, engineers, camera and sound crew and the rest of their livelihood. Should these people be expected to give their work away for nothing?
Nobody minded copying using the old technologies like compact cassette or CDs. Some geek might make a couple of copies of an album or film for his mates down the pup but that was no big deal. File sharing sites are different. They make the work available to the world, promote their service and profit from advertising revenue. It is utterly immoral and there is no justification for it. Boggart Blog place ourselves on records as deploring the activities of downloaders. Such people are thieving bastards and as such deserve to be deprived of their internet connec
