"After a few local acts performed, Echo Park’s Non+ opened for Har Mar Superstar.  Their guitar player, Dirty Preston, has made contributions to Har Mar’s albums in the past, so this bill seemed fitting.  The band also features Katherine Petersen on vocals and Jonathan Harry Weinberg on
drums.  Much like Har Mar, the band displays a great sense of humor.
When they were setting up their equipment on stage, Petersen found a
cup of alcohol left by one of the other bands.  She picked it up and
pretended to drink it, but after giving it a second look, downed the
beverage.  Satisfied, she nodded to the rest of the band, and they
started to play.  Their overall sound was raw and tended to fit
somewhere in with Mika Miko and Be Your Own Pet
It was garagey punk with loud guitar, incoherent vocals, and ragged
drums.  Petersen hopped to the beat of the music across the stage while
singing into her old-fashioned microphone.  Before she took the stage,
she had a gawky kind of demeanor, but once she grabbed the microphone,
it was all confidence.  Dancing across the stage, she used eye contact
to communicate with her bandmates, and during the first few songs, the
crowd formed a pit in front of the stage.  Petersen connected with the
audience by making amusing comments in between songs that delved even
into the topic of masturbation.  Har Mar, who was in the audience for
their set, proceeded to leave after her statement.  She then jokingly
said, “Who’s that guy?  What a dick.”  Dirty Preston later said that
the band only hoped they could be as attractive as Har Mar, to which
Petersen replied, “Well, I’ve been trying to gain weight”.  Before they
finished, Petersen thanked the tiles in front of her, since no one in
the audience was directly in front of the stage.  She addressed each
tile individually, “I want to meet you after the show…yes…yes…no”.
Non+ ended their set in true punk fashion, by thrashing their equipment
around the stage.  Hells yeah."
