This weekend Troy, Preston, and I made a road trip down south for the Mississippi State/WVU game. We met up with a buddy of theirs, Fossil, in Atlanta and chilled there some. On Friday we drove to Philadelphia, MS where there's a couple of casinos. We all mostly played cards there, which is a big shocker I know. I came out about $1,000 up playing in a $2-$5 cash game. I lost at every other table game I tried. Fossil taught me how to play craps a little. We lost some dough, but it was cool learning a new game. We wound up staying at the casino till checkout and then headed to the football game. We actually didn't get much harassment from the home fans. We were surprised at the amount of WVU fans we saw there too. It was really nice out on gameday, about 80 degress. As for the game itself, WVU wound up pulling away in the second half and winning 42-14. After that we started the drive back to Atlanta. On the way back we stopped at a dogtrack and made a few wagers. We all went down just a little bit, but it was another new experience for a few of us. After that we finally went back to Atlanta and crashed. On Sunday we got up and played in a $100 poker tournament at a friend of Fossil's. I actually wound up taking that down with some definite luck. We then headed to a sports bar to catch up on some of our NFL teams. Once the Sunday night game hit half we decided to head home for WV. So once we got our stuff together, about 11 hours later we were finally home. So all told this weekend we spent more than 30 hours in a car, gambled like crazy, and took in lots of football. I'm pretty sure a good time was had by all.
