Kaden was precisely as I would have imagined him to be. As he walked toward me I could see a noticeable James Dean quality about him. Smoldering eyes staring directly at me, he extended his hand, smiled with a brilliant light and said, "Hi, I'm Kaden!" With ease he can completely draw you in with his presence, and his ability to make you feel as though you've been friends for years!
Wearing Lucky Brand jeans, a stone gray T-shirt that matched the stormy color of his eyes, Kaden sat down and immediately asked me if I needed anything to drink. After interviewing several artists over the years I can count on one hand the amount that actually cared about the people around them. What a refreshing change!
At only 23 years of age so much has already occurred in Kaden's life. Not ashamed of the fact that when he first came to LA from his hometown of Emmett Idaho at 18 he had no money and no contacts. His music fueled his desire to make it happen in Hollywood.
Hardship is something that Kaden is fully aware of. When he moved to LA, his only option was to live in a one bedroom apartment with four roommates. There, Kaden slept on a bare hardwood floor and didn't even have enough money to eat. "I'm sure that I could have asked someone for help but I wanted to do things on my own, I needed to prove that I could overcome these obstacles myself."
With enough guts and ambition to take on the tough world that is LA, Kaden would walk to appointments so far from his apartment that his ankles would bleed. Amazingly, he has been able to remain unaffected by the arduous struggle. "I know that every challenge is an opportunity for me. I can choose to feel down and depressed or I can overcome my circumstances. I have learned to accept the challenges that life throws my way, its the rough times that make us appreciate all the good things in our lives and help us to become more empathetic to those around us.
The message in his music is profound, "This world is filled with souls that scream and cry out for help but their voices fall on deaf ears. I want them to finally be heard and their struggles to be recognized. It's
time to fight for the underdog. In a best case scenario my music will
make a positive difference, giving hope and spreading light into this world."
Kaden demands that his lyrics always be genuine, never censored or edited to try and be safe for purely entertainment purposes. When referring to his art it is obvious that Kaden is extremely independent and will never agree to be controlled by anyone else's agenda, including management. He prefers to work together with any future record label and the media as teammates to insure every side is heard and feels good about the music being created.
With both his "Euro-soul" quality in his singing voice and his edgy outlook on creating his art this is a talent worth listening to.
Sincere and intensely focused, Kaden definitely has the formula down for what he desires most.. creative fulfillment through his inner song. You can almost hear it as you sit next to him.
The first song recorded for his upcoming debut CD is titled "Live Fearless" and has a sound that is unlike any of the typical genres out there today. Currently Kaden is assembling his creative team and is working toward getting his first music video produced.
Gracious, generous, and with boyish charm that has tremendous appeal, Kaden captivates and draws you into his world with a casual ease. This is one voice that promises to edge us closer and closer to something intensely hypnotic...and with an incredible purpose.
