!.  The Joneses have been broken up for years, so there's really no one to introduce.  The only ex-Joneses I still work with is Greg Kuehn, the Joneses piano player. Oh, I'm Jeff Drake.
2.  The Joneses first played in December 1981.  At the time me and Steve Olson, the original bass player were into the New York Dolls, rockabilly, punk rock, and the Cramps.  We wanted the Joneses to sound like a cross between the New york Dolls and Eddie Cochran.
3.  Back in the early '80's we played many shows with the Screaming Sirens, Tex and the Horseheads, the Dickies, the Red Hot Chili Peppers.  We were so different from everyone else back then, I can't really think of any bloodbrothers.  But we had a lot of good friends!
4.  Well, that was a strange time. It was a really cool scene because it was kinda like, "Anything goes!".  There was no dominant style, just a lot of really good bands.  Like, we were like we were.  The Sirens were cowpunkettes, the Chili Peppers were funk, Tex and the Horseheads did their thing and they were unique.  But then came all the metal bands and ruined everything.
5.  I've been fortunate that I've always had people that wanted to put out the stuff I was doing.  We did a couple of songs on a BYO comp called "Someone Got Their Head Kicked In" in '82,  We did the "Criminals" EP foe American Standard in '82,  we did two sons on Enigma's comp "Hell Comes to Your House Pt. II" in '83, we did a full length LP for Dr Dream in '86 called "Keeping Up with the Joneses", that's actually being re-released by Full Breach Kicks in June of '07, we did the "Tits & Champagne" EP for Trigon in "90 I think, um, the "Anita Fix" EP for Cabeza de Tornado in I think 98, and the "Criminal History" collection for Sympathy in 2000. Thar one's also gonna be re-released by Full Breach Kicks later this years with lots of extras, songs, pix, liner notes etc..
6.  The last Joneses record was released in the late 90's, but it was recorded in 94.  I just got tired of doing the Joneses.  After that I was in Amanda Jones which had a record on Bomp! and the Vice Principals that put out a record with Sympathy.
7.  I got caught robbing a bank.
8.  Well, I have my own views about that.  I think punk rock was very much of a certain time and place.  So as far as I'm concerned, punk rock died when the Pistols broke up and sid died.
9.  Well, John at Sympathy heard that the original deal to release "Criminal History" fell through, I think it was with Junk, and he snatched it.  Full Breach Kicks contacted mt through Trigon for the "Tits & Champagne" thing.  Josh is great to work with soo we're doing a lot with him.
10.  Well, check the Full Breach Kicks website.  There are lots of Joneses related releases coming out in the near future, including a DVD and a live album.  Personally, I'm making plans to record a solo record with a bunch of my friends that I've wanted to work with.  I think it's gonna be all covers and I've got some duets lined up with Pleasant Gehman, Iris Berry and Amanda Brix (from Amanda Jones).  I can't wait to get started on it. You're welcome!
