Crowd of over 3000 See Another Great Show!

Under magnificently calm and clear skies - and even a hint of cool - Whyalla's annual "Carols In The Park" has successfully staged last night to a crowd of over 3000 people in Civic Park.

Let the show begin.....

After concerns during the prior 48 hours about Whyalla's unseasonal drenching rains, the slick 2-hour show met with a calm, cloudless and cool Summer evening which was perhaps the most beautiful the event has yet experienced.

The "Carols In The Park" Community Choir looked resplendent in their black and red Australian Central-sponsored shirts, and all our performers simply shone as the sea of candles and glow sticks began to light Civic Park with their glow.

Headline act - The Kazoos, presented by Onesteel - proved hugely popular with our audience youngsters, and after the show at their "meet & greet" which kept them busy for nearly an hour.

And of course, as we had hoped and dreamed all year - Father Christmas arrived early to round off a wonderful night!

While we can never be sure how he magically appears from year-to-year Santa was able to visit just long enough to meet the boys and girls in Civic Park and lead the "Jingle bells" Finale with the cast before vanishing as mysteriously as he had arrived.

We feel sure he once again enjoyed his visit to "where the outback meets the sea", and will return to Whyalla on Christmas Eve to visit all good boys and girls.
