Will I always be alone?
My doctor told me

I feel so crushed and so insignificantly small
Am I here or am I dead?
My friend told me
I can never have it all and I should settle on what I have and throw away my dreams...

I look in the mirror
And I hate what I see
Washed away heart, and sad eyes
Where Love and courage used to live, there is a grown woman who is afraid to dream...

I feel this way a lot myself. But I won't let myself be too afraid to dream, at least most of the time. Hope springs eternal, as they say...
