I spent last Saturday dressed up in a neon mini skirt with a couple of people from Misty's Big Adventure to be an extra in a pilot for a TV sitcom made by the director of their music videos.
It's called Townies and is about a 40+ man who gets divorced after a long marriage and has to go back 'on the pull' but is shy and dubious about the whole thing.
There was barely enough people to make it look plausible and next Saturday THEY NEED LOTS!

- Location: Trinity's nightclub, Spinning School Lane, Tamworth, B79

- Travel - If coming by car there are two car parks near to the venue. Tamworth town centre is small and it is easy to find Trinity's Nightclub. There will also be a bunch of neon clubbers standing outside.
If you do not have a car it is EASY to get there on the train from Birmingham. You get the train from New Street and it takes 10minutes. Trinity's Nightclub is also very close to the train station.
- Time: 11.30 til' 7. Please come dressed up ready to go go go!
- Dress: GLAM! If pos, 80's/retro/chic, but no worries if haven't got 80's stuff knocking around, just come 'dressed to the nines'! One girl had a pink neon tutu. Others had just a dress and boots with the glow sticks and pink shades that were provided
Girls: Dayglo/neon if pos
Lads: Jeans with shoes! T-shirt/shirt
They gave out a spattering of neon clothes but didn't have much. They do have glow sticks though. Neon leg warmers, neon mini skirts like you buy at any low price shop, neon vests. Orange, Purple, Green, Pink - there is no end to the range of neon. If no neon it really doesn't matter - think Broad Street. Very dressy, heels, makeup. But think of me! I am a million miles from any of that and haven't worn makeup apart from on stage. It scared me at first but it was very fun once I got started. If you know anyone with dressy clothes then borrow them and invite them along.
Mainly they need bodies! More convincing clubbers can be closer to the camera. They just need bodies in the background so don't worry. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
- Refreshments: We will be providing tea/coffee/cold drinks. The bar will be open, though we're not encouraging you to get drunk as it'll be a long afternoon!
Lunch: Will be around 2 o'clock for 1/2 an hour/45 mins. There are lots of take outs (chippies) next to the club and sandwich shops, there is a jacket potato stand or maybe bring packed lunch?
- What to expect: You will be hanging out/chatting with mates/dancing. Majority of the time you could be busting your moves to no music/miming as we will be needing to record sound! They occasionally play music as well to make it feel more club like.
If you get easily bored, maybe bring an ipod to listen to or a book to...read?
You should have lots of FUN and see it as an opportunity to meet new people!Everyone I met when I went were really friendly and that's what made the day so nice.
The youngest were 18 but they're bringing their younger friends who can dress up to look older. It doesn't matter if you are somewhat older than 18 either you don't have to look good, bad, just dressed up and keen to help.
The key thing they need are bodies!
