The Iran situation is a lot more complicated though. Many years ago Iran had a Prospering government and society, they were going to become one of the leading countries especially with its oil reserves. So, the US decide that they dont like this, they back a militia (like they have also done in Indonesia & Mexico), to overthrough that government and put in place a dictatorship.

This caused the Iranian people to rebel. When you have such an extreme totalitarian dictatorship in place, people become very polorised and so the 'Islamic Republic' overtook and came into power with the Ayatolla. There are many problems with Certain people in the IR of Iran. Some torturing, human rights issues and of course the ONE, i repeat ONE member who said the comment about wiping Israel of the face of the map.

How can America critisize Iran?

Hiroshima? Nagasaki? Vietnam? Afghanistan? Iraq?
