"It is with some regret that I can no longer be involved with From The Jam, many thanks to the fans for all their support over the last few years and who have made it possible, it has been a pleasure and an honour".

Sorry to hear you are leaving. You're one of my favourite drummers, and the rhythm section composed of you and Bruce was inspirational and motivational from the day I started playing, first on bass, then on guitar.

i agree with you in every respect paul. the rhythm section composed of rick buckler and bruce foxton absolutely made the jam's sound, a sound that has and will continue to inspire and influence so many musicians and songwriters. i consider myself very lucky to have been able to witness that chemistry onstage when they decided to play together again, as i was too young to see the jam when they were together.

please change your mind rick. no one knows why you've left the band. I truly hope it's not due to negative circumstances. both myself and so many others looked forward to seeing you play each time you had a tour scheduled to come out to the states, but the tours kept getting cancelled due to unfortunate circumstances and timing. i'd hate to think that i only had the opportunity to see you play in l.a. and san francisco on your first tour out here. seeing YOU play was such a joy. one of the best live performance experiences of my life. hope you're well. cheers.

Well, I guess all good things come to an end...

I last saw the Jam at The Brigton Centre in Dec 1982. It was thier last ever Gig, and certainly not a happy occasion in many ways, having seen them the year before on the Trans Global tour, which was amazing, and now this was it for good!!!
Then to see Rick and Bruce together again this year in Margate was great! I remember thinking that Rick looked quite frail, I wonder if he is just ready take it easy? Perhaps not, but either way, I thank you for all the great music you made together, you were the soundtrack to my teens, and you are still the soundtrack to my 40's, and my inspiration to play in Bands myself.

With Regards and Respect, Andy Wade.
