Just finished my new Graphic design alias "King of Hartz" Myspace, go check it out and let me know what you think, it's pretty simple but showcases some of the graphic work I've done over the years.

strip it down. its too busy, mainly the side bars.

with the king of heartz big text on the sides, whre it says design squeezed in above the capital H and top of the rest of the letters x-height did you manually (free transform)squeeze the letters shorter so itd fit in that space? it looks like it. That should never be done with typefaces unless their weird fantasy cheezy type, and even that usually looks bad.

the transparent king of heartz text on the sides also has significant opacity/transparency issues, it kidnaps the readability,

I would re-work the graphic of the side bars more too, they dont scream king of heartz and the cloth/denim texture annoys me.

Your logo is too average/web icon/stagnant looking and doesnt have nearly enough hue contrast to catch the viewers eye with just using line.

I would personally use a different typeface on the page too, is that arial black or myriad? A modern serif font would be civilized and refined such as caslon, frutiger, claredon, baskerville, didot, garamond or a sans serif of helvetica or futura

Use two typefaces throught the page design, using ones that have a good contrasts, a serif juxtaposed to a sanserif with hierarchy and or color variation

the message add, group, block, rank text needs serious kerning(adding of space between letters)

It be refreshing also eventually add a more varried amount of media in the portfolio aside from music related ish to prove design savvant status therefore, build your portfolio up with random jamz, brochures, a press kit, stickers, more logo design, something that would demonstrate cogent and creative typography skills and awareness

Well I didn't strip it down but I did make some updates, with more to come. I really hadn't spent much time on the background and don't plan on keeping the 2min logo, just kinda throw it up there. you could tell it was a quickie.

Thanks for the input.
