Current mood:Kilted

The Brotherhood of the Kilt is a co-ed organization dedicated to the kilt. We hope to educate the global community on the history of the kilt and its impact on the Scottish, Irish, Welsh, and English peoples of the world. Via a wide array of mediums, including live discussion and merchant support, we also strive to put forth a modern appearance and image of the kilt for its worldwide acceptance. It is our belief that you don't need to be Celtic to put on a kilt, you just need the courage to wear it!

Ever notice how many myspace "Kilt Wearers" don't seem to have any pictures of themselves kilted in their page?  Sort of like when you are at the pub and have to listen to some guy in jeans tell you all about his kilt    I'm in a couple of kilt related groups where the group leaders don't even have a kilted picture up!

That line is so true. I have had to use it a few times when someone I know says they can't wear a kilt because they are not of celtic heritage... I think I may have a few converts....

I'm glad I'm Celtic regardless, though. Welsh, Scottish, AND Irish. I'm getting my first one sometime this week, so yay!

Peolpe always ask, "Are you Scottish?", or "Do you play the bagpipes?" when I wear my kilt. Just for the record, I'm mostly Swedish. I think the end of my left pinky is Scottish (the right one is Irish!), so I say that's enough! :) And I don't play the pipes (YET!).

Any excuse to wear the kilt!! "Honey, take our son to the Drag races!" "Which kilt should I wear?" If you think I'm joking, check out the "Pinks - All Out" episode from Tucson that will air in January. They couldn't aim that camera at me enough! I think I should survive the edit!
