Hey there folks. I just wanted to address some of the rumors that have been floating around town regarding The SpeakEasy Lounge under Cafe New Orleans in Old Sac.
Last year in December the restaurant upstairs got cited serving an ABC decoy. The cited staff person no longer works at Cafe New Orleans/ The SpeakEasy Lounge. Our fine is a 25 day liquor suspension from March 22nd - April 15th. During this closure, The SpeakEasy Lounge will be using this opportunity to make improvements and making The SpeakEasy bigger and better then it was before. And if you have not visited the resturant please do so during this time it has the best gumbo in town. The restaurant will be open for normal business hours. You will just have to have a soda or tea...
The SpeakEasy Lounge will reopen on April 16th for our Re Grand Opening. Stayed tuned for the details regarding our Re Grand Opening Party....
