Been Busy! Been playing a lot...still trying to Promote the "Bring It Home" Cd and the Forth coming "Yesterdaze News" Cd. I have a few full band shows coming up, but the band is going to lay low for a few months so that we can prepare our new material. I'm ready for new music!

Before I released "Bring it Home" I was playing the songs months before..This time I want the new music to be a surprise and not show case it till the Cd is weeks away from release. I have a few titles in mind for the Cd..."The Organic World", "Organic Music" Or "Organic Hillbilly Music" : )The word "Organic" has to fit in it somewhere, I don't know why, it just does. I'm Open to any Ideas! I have many songs written and many more in the works.  I think I want to record everything I write, and then just pick the best 12 songs for the CD. Here are some of the Title of the songs...
 "To Believe" written in memory of My Nephew Stephen Serrano.
"My Mothers Eyes" a song about My mothers stories of her Long hard as a kid living in the depression.
"Her Song" A Brian Wilson ballad inspired tune.
"I live for Me" A Nice Jazzy/blues about a troubled  soul : )
"Behind The Curtain" Featuring My dear buddy and Nashville session player Mike Gregory on Guitar! If you seen Zeitgeist then you know the song haha
"Ain't No Sunshine" our Cover of the 1973 bill Withers Hit...Jerry Jennings has a smoking guitar solo in this tune!
Anyway just to give you an insight on what's cooking, however I'm trying to do something different musically as well so We'll see what comes up!
I've been working on the Becca Danielsen Cd
and it's coming along great!  Finishing up on Her cover of Roberta Flacks "Feel Like Making Love"
and really happy over the results. I'm planning to have Becca's Cd out around the same time as mine so we can have a Double Cd release party and hoping to get Her on next years Royer park park show. Anyway that's all for now : )

Michael Gregory was quite happy and honored to to be asked to play someting on your disc & he looks forward to hearing the final product.
I'm all for amything with "organic" in the title.  For many, the term brings to mind foods that are eaten as close to their source & pure state as possible.  I like it b/c  it applies to my Christian life.  "Organic" refers to life - unless something is living or was previously living, it is not organic.  Christ said "He who eats Me, he also shall live because of Me."  Think about it - all of our food was a form of life, either animal, vegetable, or mineral.  It is simply a picture of what God is to us - our food.
Just as chemicals and processing put us further from our food in its pure state, so religion and philosophies get between us and God, altering and spoiling the original, pure state of God as food to us.  So, "organic" gets my vote.  :~)
